Materials List

  • 2 1/2 yards of 2.5" wired ribbon
  • 1" ball ornament
  • Chenille stem
  • Fabri-tac fabric glue
  • Hot glue gun
  • Embellishments/hanger

Instructions

  1. Begin by cutting five pieces of wired ribbon 7 1/2" long.

  2. Bring ends together and cut ribbon on the diagonal, 1.25" from the center fold to edge end. The open five ribbons should be 7 1/2" on one side and 2 1/2 inches on the other side.

  3. Bring the longest edges together to form a point, shaping into a cone.

  4. Apply Fabri-tac glue to underside of ribbon edge and seal together overlapping, matching points to form a cone shape. Make sure opening on one cone can accommodate the shank of the ball ornament. Hot glue on.

  5. Repeat gluing together the four remaining ribbon pieces into cones.

  6. Glue one cone on both sides of the head cone, matching points and patterns.
