Santa Stocking Christmas Ornament
"My project is an ornament, with a Santa face attached to a stocking. This project took me one evening to finish. The materials I used were cotton muslin material for the stocking and for the head and also for the beard and hair. I used a tan braided trim to go around the Santa hat and also for hanging the ornament. For the Santa hat I used a piece of velvet type material I had left over from another project. For the tassel I used string that I raveled from a piece of material matching the hat."

Instructions
-
I cut out a small stocking on cotton material (2 pieces). I cut out 2 round circles with a flap, used for sewing the head to the stocking.
-
I sewed around the head leaving an opening to stuff the head with stuffing. I sewed the head to one piece of the stocking using the flap.
-
I tore strips of the cotton to use for the hair and beard and then hot glued the strips to the head. I used buttons for the eyes. I cut a tiny circle and put a tiny bit of stuffing in the center and sewed around it pulling it into a ball as I sewed, this was for the nose.
-
I cut out a triangle shape for the cap and hot glued it together, then hot glued it to the head.
-
I pinned the other piece of stocking to the piece with the head attached, and pinned the trim on top, then sewed the three together, by hand.
-
I cut a piece of the trim and hot glued it to the hat for hanging.
NotesI have made large stockings the same way. You can use anything for the hat. I have used old sweaters, denim or anything left over. This is my own invention and I sell these on the side, so I don't want anyone to make and resell this project please.
