Vintage Burlap Tree Ornaments

By: Linsey Rickett for FaveCrafts.com
Vintage Burlap Tree Ornaments

"These are made from a recycled cardboard box cut into a basic tree shape and covered in burlap, then decorated with all sorts of buttons, charms, wood, metal, brads, sequins, lace trim, cheesecloth, etc. I made 5 trees in all keeping with the natural, white and mint color theme. For the tree trunks, I broke apart a couple popsicle sticks and layered an old cut up measuring tape along side the sticks for an old vintage-like feel. Adhered the burlap to the cardboard base with Faber-Castell GEL MEDIUM and added GESSO to areas of the trees and bits of the metal accent pieces for a bit of a worn look. Metallic Mint Gelatos® to color burlap heart."
