Rustic Wedding Bench

Create a memorable wedding gift with the Rustic Wedding Bench project. This DIY bench was made from April's daughter's headboard from when she was six years old. Transforming the headboard into a new bench for her first home makes for a great story and a memorable piece of furniture. Add the wedding date and other personal touches to this project and you will love the way this project turns out.

Materials:
- 6 Metal square posts
- 4 Old 2x4 pieces of wood
- 5 Cans of Krylon® Enamel Paint
- 2 Cans of Krylon® Clear Polyurethane Coating
- 2 Cans of Krylon® Craft Series Hammerd Finish
- 1 Quart of oak stain
- 1 Metal headboard
Time to Complete: 2 weeks
Instructions:
- Weld frame for bench and attach headboard. Grind and smooth welding spots. Cut and stain wood boards to fit seat.
- Paint frame of bench with Krylon® Craft Hammered Series Paint. Hand paint the boots on the head board with various colors of paint. Paint the couples Brand and their Wedding Date.
- Attach wood with screws for the seat.
- Paint whole bench with Krylon® Polyurethane.
- Deliver to the happy couple's first home!
