Browse Etsy and you'll see lots of monograms or favorite words that feature raised lettering, often filled in with geometric shapes or even flowers and other design elements. These are usually framed and displayed on shelves or as wall art. On-edge letters are made with lightweight, yet sturdy card stock or two strips of quilling paper glued together. They are shaped and curved, then glued in place on a sheet of background card."
