How to Tie Dye a Beach Towel
Field of Fireworks Tie Dye Beach Towel Instructions:
-
Use rubber bands and pull up 4" of fabric into a tube shape and place rubber band at the base of the 4" mark. The larger amount of fabric the larger the sunburst.
-
Repeat banding process randomly over the towel to create the sunburst pattern.
-
Dampen towel and wring out the excess water in the sink.
-
Place towel into bucket and randomly squeeze dye colors. Use full-strength for intense colors. For a lighter shade of color, add more water using extra bottle if needed.
-
Check to make sure dye has penetrated.
-
Wrap towel in plastic surface cover. Let set 6 to 8 hours.
-
Rinse under faucet to remove all of the dye until the water runs clear.
-
Remove rubber bands. Fill washer to large load setting with hottest water suitable for fabric and a small amount of detergent. Wash separately for the first few washes.
