20. Life in the Craft Lane

Originally from England, Julie has been professionally involved in the Arts & Crafts industry for over 25 years as a designer, TV Host, author and consultant. Growing up in England in the 50's, she was always making something and learned to knit, sew, crochet and embroider from her mum and painted with her dad. While living in Germany she discovered new materials to "make stuff with" and Bavarian folk art. After moving to the US in the mid 70's Julie continued her hobbies and sold the things she made at local craft shows and craft malls. This led to working with a "How to" craft book publisher and she authored over 50 books on a wide variety of crafts and decorative painting. Her projects have been featured in craft and decorative painting magazines and on TV.  She was host of a popular TV show on scrapbooking and paper crafts for 15 years, but Julie loves all types of crafts and now she features her creative projects with an international flair on her blog, Life in the Craft Lane.
