Valentine's Day Box Monster
With elementary school parties looming in the distance this February, it is time to start thinking about how to organize and keep track of all of your kid’s Valentine ’s Day cards! Learning how to make a Valentine ’s Day box is almost as important as the cards themselves. Luckily for you, the Valentine’s Day Box Monster is kid-friendly and absurdly sturdy, making it the perfect receptacle for sentiments. Made entirely out of simple craft materials you have at home or in the classroom, this is one Valentine’s Day craft for kids you will want to keep pinned for years to come.
Materials List
- Paper tube container
- Red tissue paper
- Collage Pauge
- Foam brush
- Large googly eyes
- Coordinating cardstock or construction paper
- Marker
- Tape runner
- Scissors
Making the Valentine's Day Box Monster

Tear or cut tissue paper

Use collage pauge to adhere the tissue paper to the container.

Let it dry.

Add googly eye(s) to the tube.

Cut two strips of paper at about 2” wide. Accordion fold them.

Use tape runner to adhere the paper to the sides to create arms

Draw on a mouth with your marker.

Optional – cut hole in top for the cards to go in or just leave it ajar.
