Retro Framed Clock
If you're looking for some DIY home decor, try making the Retro Framed Clock. This intermediate painting craft may take you back in time, but it will also tell you the time and look lovely on any wall. You can put this vintage clock in almost any room to give it some class or make it more trendy, depending on what you think the room needs. In the digital age, it is nice to have a ticking clock on your wall to remember simpler times and keep you from glancing at your phone to read the time.

Materials:
- FolkArt ® Stencil1 ® Laser Stencils - Small - Star Pattern
- FolkArt ® Home Decor™ Chalk - Sheepskin, 8 oz.; Salmon Coral, 8 oz.;
Java, 8 oz.; Castle, 8 oz. - Walnut Hollow™ rectangle plaque 9” x 12”
- Wood picture frame 11” x 14”
- Drill
- Clock workings
- Silver mini numerals
- Glue
- Sandpaper
- Linen fabric
- Pencil
- Tape
- Glue
- Flat brush 1/2”
- Stencil brush 1/2”
- Paper towels
- Foam plates
- Water basin
Instructions:
- Base coat frame with Java. Base coat plaque Castle. Let dry.
- Make an X on back of plaque to find center. Drill hole large enough for shaft of clock works.
- Paint Sheepskin over entire frame and let dry.
- Stencil star pattern onto plaque with Salmon Coral. Start design in center of plaque and work out. Let dry.
- Paint numerals and clock hands with Java. Let dry.
- Wrap and tape linen fabric over board insert from picture frame.
- Lightly sand frame, plaque and numerals.
- Glue numerals to plaque as shown.
- Place linen board in frame. Find center and cut hole large enough for clock shaft.
- Glue plaque to linen board.
- Insert clock workings and place hands onto front of shaft.
