Tribe Banner out of Leisure Arts Diamond Art
From the Designer: "I’m hooked on making banners, small special art that makes me smile. The Tribe Diamond Art beginner kit was perfect for my plans. I cut the manufactured image in half and added more dots to the areas that I felt needed more color. I found great video’s on youTube for help. I have a whole other half of the project left over to make another banner for a friend. Simple project, no sewing, and quick. It looks fabulous hanging and glistening when the light changes in my living room and I plan to share it outside when I have company."

-
Working with the light table or pad Complete the Diamond Art project
-
Cut the fringe effect after completing the Tribe image
-
Glue the Tribe image onto the jean material. Cut fringe on jean material once positioned in place
-
Cut and glue black ribbon (I chose one with glitter) to the length of the banner. Do the same with the red ribbon. This hides the top edge nicely and gives the piece more depth.
-
Run red ribbon through the back of the material, fold to secure. I chose to use 3 clamp paperclips, to hold the ribbon in place, plus I liked the look and texture of the black and shiny clamps.
-
Hang in your favorite place and enjoy the glistening of the tiles and the compliments.
NotesFrom the fabulous videos I have more ideas by adding colors and tiles in my choice areas to decorate. Not being a "Sewer", loving glue this was easy and fun! I can't wait to make more in the same Tribe or geometric design to add to make a set of banners.
