Instructions:
- Cut 3” off one of the dowels with wire cutters. Paint the two dowels white and let dry. Paint red stripes on the dowels and set aside to dry.
- Cut several 1/8” x 2” long strips of red felt for the bird. (They do not need to be the exact size.) Use the tuck tool to tuck the center of each felt strip into the 1.5” ball to completely cover. Glue small beads in place for the bird’s eyes and a small triangle of orange felt in place for the beak. Glue 1.5” red/white stripe ribbon around two toothpicks and insert into the bottom of the bird for legs.
- Cut several ¾” x 5” strips of dark green felt. Use the tuck tool to tuck the centers of the felt strips into the 4” ball to completely cover. Cut several ½” x 4” wide strips of the medium green felt. Tuck the felt strips into the 3” ball to completely cover.
- Trim the 6” ball to fit snuggly inside the container. Glue the shorter dowel into the 3” green felt ball and the other end into the container, slightly angled to the right. Glue the taller dowel into the 4” green felt ball and the other end into the container slightly angled to the left. Glue the bird into the container in front of the trees.
- Tie Christmas ribbon around the top of the container and fill with artificial snow.
