No Bake Polymer Cards

search

These No Bake Polymer Cards from Ann Butler are a fun twist on a favorite way of sending a greeting. Mailing a paper card to a loved one is a lovely gesture, but you can easily kick the creativity up a notch by making a beautiful card out of clay. Unlike other polymer clay crafts, no oven is necessary to make this stunning project the next time a special occasion rolls around. Use stamps to customize the cards for any celebration, let dry, and share the brilliance.

    Materials:

    • Makin's Clay: 1 package earthtones
    • Makin's Clay Roller
    • StazOn Jet Black Ink Pad
    • Assorted Rubber Stamps
    • Scissor
    • Ruler
    • Black Sharpie Fine Point Marker
    • Ziplock Plastic Bag or Damp Cloth

    Directions:

    1. Leaing the wrapping on the clay, cut about 1/3 to 1/2 from clay blocks in the colors of your choice. I like to use 3 - 5 colors. Place remaining clay into ziplock plastic bag to prevent drying.

    4. Continue folding and rolling until clay is very thin. Let the clay dry overnight, turning as needed. If it begins to curl, place a book on it to flatten it out.

    5. The clay will shrink somewhat, so only cut after it is dry.
