Maria Chatzi
Hi, and welcome to my profile page. My name’s Maria Chatzi. I’m married and have two daughters. I’ve studied to be a teacher but I’m also a craft designer and crafter, a self-taught jewelry artist, a poet and a writer. I love all natural materials and nature is always my #1 inspiration source. I use various techniques in my art and crafts projects, but I mostly prefer mixing media to create decorative and useful items. What challenges me lately is to create artful work out of materials that traditionally don’t go together – like velvet and paper in jewelry making, for example. I find symbolic art intriguing and I have a passion for beach rocks. I own a small website with information on beach stones.
Do you need ideas on things to make and do with pebbles and rocks? If so, visit my website, beachstonesinspired.com – you will find ideas for frugal décor, crafting and gift making as well as fun activity ideas to keep your little ones busy and happy (useful for teachers too).
Thanks for visiting this page at favecrafts com. Some months ago, I was only a reader here, just like you. “Great website, great community! I should contribute too.” I said to myself one day. And here I am, designing unique crafts for favecrafts.com and hoping you have fun creating them. If you’re a craft designer/crafter and you like what we’re doing here, join us.

Tried the Beachside Bookmark, like it alot. However instructions say to cut threads & strings 18 inches long. So after tieing off at 4 inches, then braiding for 15 inches, adds up to be at least 19 inches of string/thread plus 4 inches at the end plus what is needed as extra to make the braided section. So how long should the threads & strings really be?
