What I really like about this pattern is that it is specifically for Him. I made my hubby a pattern two years ago but he needs a new one. I will try this pattern but increase the chain to 414 so the blanket will be wide enough.

How does one calculate the stitches increase the size? My husband likes afghans to cover him from chin to toe and this would be too small he loves the pattern though. I want to make it 200cm x 200cm

Love this pattern...use it for lap afghans for HOSPICE....use Red, White, & Blue for are Veterans.....( of course we make it smaller)

Oh what a wonderful idea! I love the idea of donating my hobby to a cause. I also am looking for a Red, White, and Blue pattern project to make a blanket for my father for Christmas. I have the yarn already but I just couldn't settle on a design. I think this would be a great one!

The print button is still not working. Helen Warren

What crochet hook in mm do I use?

I am going to make this for my nephew. I think he will like it. I am going to use black, white and zebra strip.

@tammyne Great idea! We'd love to see how it turned out!
