Naptime Ripple Baby Afghan

Materials:
- 350 yds. White Red Heart 4-ply yarn (W)
- 255 yds. Light Blue Red Heart 4-ply yarn (B)
- 255 yds. Petal Pink Red Heart 4-ply yarn (P)
- H crochet hook or size needed for gauge
Gauge: 6 dcs = 2”
4 rows = 3 ¼”
Stitch Guide:
Chain (ch), Single Crochet (sc), Double Crochet (dc)
Special Stitch – Shell (2 dc, ch 2, 2 dc)
Instructions:
Row 1 – With blue ch 125, dc in 4th ch from hook, 1 dc in each of next 5 ch, *3 dc in next ch, 1
dc in each of next 6 ch, *skip 2 ch, Shell in next ch, skip 2 ch, 1 dc in each of next 6 ch,
rep from * across ending 1 dc in each of last 7 ch, fasten off and turn.
Row 2 – Join white with a sl st in first dc, ch 2, skip 1 dc, dc in next dc, (ch 1, skip 1 dc, dc in next
dc) 2 times, ch 1, skip 1 dc, *(dc, ch 1, dc) in next dc, (ch 1, skip 1 dc, dc in next dc) 3
times, Shell in Shell, skip 3 dc, dc in next dc, (ch 1, skip 1 dc, dc in next dc) 2 times, rep
from * across ending (dc, ch 1, dc) in center dc of 3 dc, (ch 1, skip 1 dc, dc in next dc) 3
times, dc in last dc, fasten off and turn.
Row 3 – Join pink with a sl st in first dc, ch 2, skip 1 dc, 1 dc in each of next 6 sts, *3 dc in sc
between 2 dc, 1 dc in each of next 6 sts, Shell in Shell, skip 3 dc, 1 dc in each of next 6
sts, rep from * across ending 3 dc in sc between 2 dc, 1 dc in each next 6 sts, dc in last
dc, fasten off and turn.
Color Scheme:
Rep Row 3 (alternating blue and pink) and Row 2 (white) for 47 rows ending with Row 3 (pink)
as follows:
B W P W (11 times) ending B W P
Edging:
With white work along side edge (sc, ch 3, sc) in each dc across, fasten off.

Hi i love your Naptime ripple baby afghan i want to do one in a bigger size how many chains do i need i am not to good with trying to work it out i know with some patterns you have to do a multiple of lets say a 100 then you have to chain say like 3 more i hope you help me this is my favourite ripple pattern thank you from Janet

I worked it out to be multiples of 18 chains and then an additional 17 chs. (18 17) 18 x 6 = 108 108 17 = 125 Hope this helps
