How to Crochet the Honeycomb Hat and Cowl
HONEYCOMB STITCH (multiple of 6)
Rnd 1: With B, *sc in each of next 2 sc, ch 1, skip 1 sc, sc in each of next 3 sc; rep from * to last st, sc in last st.
Rnd 2: Sc in each st and ch around.
Rnds 3 and 4: Sc in each sc around.
Rnd 5: With A, *sc in each of next 2 sc, sc in ch-1 space 4 rnds below, pulling st tightly to cinch, skip the st behind st just made, sc in each of next 3 sc; rep from * around.
Rnd 6: Sc in each sc around.
Rnd 7: With C, *sc in each of next 4 sc, ch 1, skip 1 st, sc in next st; rep from * around.
Rnds 8-10: Rep Rnds 2-4.
Hat
With A, ch 4, join with sl st in first ch to form a ring.
Rnd 1: Ch 1, 5 sc in ring; do not join. Pm in first st of rnd and move it up as you work each rnd—5 sc.
Rnd 2-4: 2 sc in each sc around—40 sc at the end of Rnd 4.
