Boutique Christmas Tissue Box Cover

Materials:
- 1 skein Red Heart Super Saver yarn in White
- 1 skein Red Heart Super Saver yarn in Jockey Red
- 1 skein Red Heart Super Saver yarn in Paddy Green
- 9 3mm gold beads
- 3 yds. each red, green and yellow DMC (25) thread
- Red and green sewing thread
- F, G, H and I crochet hooks or size needed for gauge
- Tapesty needle
- Sewing needle
- Boutique tissue box
Gauge: With H hook--4 rows = 1”; 4 scs = 1 ¼”
Instructions:
Sides (Make 4)

Row 1 – With white and H hook ch 14, sc in 2nd ch from hook, sc in each ch across, ch 1 and turn. (13 scs)

Row 2 – Sc in each sc across, ch 1 and turn.

Rows 3-15 – Rep Row 2.

Row 16 – Rep Row 2, fasten off and turn.
- Edging of Sides: With red and H hook work 3 sc in upper right corner sp, 11 sc across the top, 3 sc in corner sp, 15 sc evenly spaced along the side edge, 3 sc in corner sp, 11 sc along the bottom edge, 3 sc in corner sp, 15 sc evenly spaced along the side edge, join to beg sc and fasten off leaving yarn for joining sides together. When you are finished turn piece to other side – this is the right side.

Row 1 – With white and H hook ch 14, sc in 2nd ch from hook, sc in each ch across, ch 1 and turn. (13 scs)

Row 2-6 – Sc in each sc across, ch 1 and turn.

Row 7 – Sc in each of next 3 sc, ch 7 (for tissue opening), skip 7 scs, sc in each of remaining scs, ch 1 and turn.

Row 8 – Sc in each of next 3 sc, work 1 sc in each ch and remaining scs, ch 1 and turn. (13 scs)

Row 10-12 – Rep Row 2.

Row 13 – Rep Row 2, fasten off and Do Not Turn.

Edging of Top: With red and H hook work 3 sc in upper right corner sp, 11 sc across the top edge, 3 sc in corner sp, 11 sc evenly spaced along the side edge, 3 sc in corner sp, 11 sc across the bottom edge, 3 sc in corner sp, 11 sc evenly spaced along the side edge, join to beg sc and fasten off leaving yarn for joining top to sides.
- When you are finished turn piece to other side – this is the right side.
Wreath

Rnd 1 – With green and I hook ch 10 and form a ring, work 27 sc in ring, join to back loop of beg sc. Do Not Turn.

Rnd 2 – Ch 3, 2 dc in same back loop, *sl st in back loop of next sc, skip 1 sc, 3 dc in back loop of next sc, rep from * around, join to top of beg ch 3 and fasten off.

Sew 3 mm gold beads around wreath.

Split red into 2 strand pieces. With G hook ch 35, make a bow and sew to top of wreath.
- Sew wreath with bow to side piece.
Candy Canes (Make 2)

With H hook, holding red and white together ch 18 (4 ½” long). Split green into 2 strand pieces. With G hook ch 35 and make a bow.

Sew candy canes and bow together.

Poinsettia

Rnd 1 – With red and H hook ch 2, work 7 sc in 2nd ch from hook, join to beg sc.

Rnd 2 – With I hook ch 3, (trc, ch 3, sl st) in same sp, *sl st in next sc, (ch 3, trc, ch 3, sl st) in same st, rep from * around, join to beg and fasten off. (7 petals)
- With DMC red, green and yellow thread make french knots in center of flower.
Leaves (Make 4)

Split green into 2 strand pieces. With F hook ch 9, sc in 2nd ch from hook, work a sc, hdc, hdc, dc, dc, hdc, 3 sc in last ch, work along opposite side of chain, hdc, dc, dc, hdc, hdc, sc, sc, sl st in beg ch and fasten off.
- Sew poinsettia and leaves to side piece (see photo for placement of leaves).
Bow

With H hook, holding red and green together ch 45 and form a bow.
- Sew bow to side piece.
Finishing

With red and wrong sides together whipstitch front loops of sides pieces together.
