Lacy Flower Boutique Tissue Cover
This truly is a lovely basket. You can use it as a bathroom decoration or just have it lying out in the house someone. It's great for holding your tissues too. Free crochet patterns like this just don't get any better.
Materials:
- 1 skein Maize (Yellow) Red Heart 4-ply yarn
- For Flowers:
- 5 yds. each Light Blue, Light Lavender, Petal Pink and Sea Coral Red Heart 4-ply yarn
- For Leaves and Stems:
- 6 yds. each Spring Green and Paddy Green Red Heart 4-ply yarn
- 1 yd. ¾” white lace
- 1 yd. 1” white ribbon lace
- F, G, H and I hooks and size needed for guage
- Tapestry Needle
- Sewing Needle and Thread
- Boutique Tissue Box

STITCH GUIDE
Chain (ch), Single Crochet (sc), Half Double Crochet (hdc), Double Crochet dc), Triple Crochet
(trc), Slip Stitch (sl st)
Special Stitch: Small Shell (Sm Sh) – (2 dc, ch 2, sc)
COVER
Rnd 1 – With G hook and maize ch 64 and form a ring, ch 3, (dc, ch 2, sc) in same ch, *skip 3 ch, Sm Sh in next ch, rep from * around, join to top of beg ch 3 and turn. (16 Small Shells)
Rnd 2 – Sl st in first ch 2 sp, ch 3 (dc, ch 2, sc) in same sp, Sm Sh in each ch 2 sp around, join to top of beg ch 3 and turn.
Rep Rnd 2 for a total of 10 rounds, fasten off leaving yarn for joining to top.
TOP
Row 1 – With G hook and white ch 21, dc in 4th ch from hook, (dc, ch 2, sc) in same ch, *skip 3 ch, Sm Sh in next ch, rep from * across ending sc in last ch, ch 2 and turn. (5 Small Shells)
Row 2 – Sm Sh in each ch 2 sp across ending sc in last dc, ch 2 and turn.
Row 3 – Rep Row 2.
Row 4 – Sm Sh in each of next 2 ch 2 sps, ch 2, sl st in next ch 2 sp, ch 2 (this starts tissue opening), cont. Sm Sh across ending sc in last dc, ch 2 and turn.
Row 5 – Sm Sh in each of next 2 ch 2 sps, ch 6 (for tissue opening), cont. Sm Sh across ending sc last dc, ch 2 and turn.
Row 6 – Sm Sh in each of next 2 ch 2 sps, skip 2 ch, Sm Sh in next ch, skip 3 ch, cont. Sm Sh across ending sc in last dc, ch 2 and turn.
Row 7 – Rep Row 2.
Rnd 8 – Rep Row 2 ending dc in last dc and fasten off.
HANDLE
Top Handle: Row 1 – With I hook and double strands of maize ch 4, sc in 2nd ch from hook, sc in each ch across, ch 1 and turn. (3 scs)
Rows 2-38 – Sc in each sc across, ch 1 and turn.
Row 39 – Sc in each sc across and fasten off.
Sew lace along each long edge of handle.
FINISHING
- Sew flowers, leaves and stems on 4 sides as shown on Flower Graph.
- With maize whipstitch top to cover.
- With maize sew on handle
- Sew ribbon lace around top edge.
FLOWERS
Flower #1 – Split flower color yarn into 2 strand pieces
Rnd 1 – With H hook ch 4 and form a ring, 8 sc in ring, join to beg sc.
Rnd 2 – (Sc, 3 dc) in each sc around, join to beg sc and fasten off.
Flower #2 – Split flower color yarn into 2 strand pieces
Rnd 1 – With G hook ch 4 and form a ring, 10 sc in ring, join to beg sc.
Rnd 2 – Ch 2, 3 dc in next st, ch 2, (sl st in next st, ch 2, 3 dc in next st, ch 2) around, join
with a sl st to last round and fasten off.
Flower #3 – Split flower color yarn into 2 strand pieces
Rnd 1 – With G hook ch 4 and form a ring, 10 sc in ring, join to beg sc.
Rnd 2 – Ch 3, 2 trc in next st, ch 3, (sl st in next st, ch 3, 2 trc in next st, ch 3) around, join
with a sl st to last round and fasten off.
Flower #4 – Split flower color yarn into 2 strand pieces
Rnd 1 – With G hook ch 4 and form a ring, 12 sc in ring, join to beg sc.
Rnd 2 – Ch 3, 3 dc in next st, ch 3, (sl st in next st, ch 3, 3 dc in next st, ch 3) around, join
with a sl st to last round and fasten off.
LEAVES AND STEMS
Small Leaf #1 – Split leaf color yarn into 2 strand pieces
With F hook ch 7, sc in 2nd ch from hook, work a sc, hdc, hdc, sc, 3 sc in last ch, work along
opposite side of chain sc, hdc, hdc, sc, sc, sl st in beg ch and fasten off.
Medium Leaf #2 – Split leaf color yarn into 2 strand pieces
With F hook ch 7, sc in 2nd ch from hook, work a hdc, hdc, dc, dc, hdc, sl st into opposite
side of chain, work along side of chain ch 2, dc, dc, hdc, hdc, sc, sl st in beg ch, and fasten off.
Large Leaf #3 – Split leaf color yarn into 2 strand pieces
With F hook ch 12, sc in 2nd ch from hook, work hdc, hdc, 1 dc in each of next 6 chs, 2 hdc
in next ch, sc, work along opposite side of chain sc, 2 hdc in next ch, 1 dc in each of next 6
scs, hdc, hdc, sc, sl st in beg ch and fasten off.
Long Thin Leaf #4 – Split leaf color yarn into 2 strand pieces
With F hook ch 10, sc in 2nd ch from hook, work sc, sc, 1 hdc in each of next 5 chs, sc in
last ch, work along opposite side of ch sc, 1 hdc in each of next 5 hdc, sc, sc, sc, sl st in
beg ch and fasten off.
Stem: Split stem color into 2 strand pieces
With F hook make a chain length you need plus 7 extra chs, sl st into 7th ch from hook to
form the top of the stem and fasten off.
