Decoupaged Message Rocks
Decoupage craft projects can turn ordinary items into extraordinary pieces of art. Create inspiring Decoupaged Message Rocks from Tiffany Windsor using simple techniques. Display your finished project indoors or outside - either way, it's sure to make an impression.
Materials:
- Aleene’s Matte Decoupage
- Rocks
- Word stamps
- Tissue paper – white (or color or print of your choice)
- Staz-On Stamping Ink – Jet Black
- Scissors
Instructions:
-
Select desired word and apply ink to stamp.
-
Stamp onto tissue paper. Let ink dry.
-
Cut out stamped words from tissue paper.
-
Using finger, apply a medium coat of Aleene’s Matte Decoupage to surface of rock.
-
Press stamped tissue paper into Decoupage and apply another coat over tissue. Keep finger moist with Decoupage so that you do not tear paper. Smooth out Decoupage and let dry.
- Note: For the purple “Joy” rock, I applied alcohol ink directly to my rock and let it dry before decoupaging! Also, you can use this same technique using the Aleene’s Glossy or Glitter Decoupage. Be creative and have fun!

So many people are painting rocks and embellishing them so they can use them as decor in all kinds of styles and ways. I love how versatile people are being with the rocks. Usually all you see are painted ones with a variety of colors. I even seen some that looked like superhero designs for younger kids. This is a new idea that I have not seen anyone else use yet. Great post!
