Glittery Wallflower Ornament
Easy home decor crafts can be made using all sorts of materials including discards and recyclables. Create a sparkly Glittery Wallflower Ornament from Michele Kovack using an empty air freshening wall plug-in and fun embellishments such as glitter and paint.
Materials:
- Wallflower plug-in
- Needle no pliers
- Paint
- Mod Podge
- Foam brush
- Diamond Dust
- Glass glitter
- Ornament hanger
- Embellishments
Instructions:
-
Take the center of the plug-in out with needle nose pliers. Wash inside of it thoroughly. If you want the bulb part to have a bit of color showing through, pour a bit of paint inside the plug-in. Swish around and dump out any extra paint. Allow time to dry.
-
Once paint inside is dry, grab some Modge Podge, and foam brush, and Diamond Dust.
-
Apply Modge Podge to outside of plug in and sprinkle with glass glitter.
-
Find a place to dry your plug-in. I actually nestled the plug-in directly in the glass glitter to dry.
-
Add an ornament hanger to the top of your plug in (I added a bit of glue to hold it) and decorate with flowers, branches, ribbon, etc.
Note:
- If you are using colored German Glass Glitter, painting the inside is not necessary.
