Patchwork Decoupage Chair
Got an old chair you don't know what to do with? Create a Patchwork Decoupage Chair from Mitzi Curi! This decoupage craft is easy and fun.
Directions:
- Wallpaper, cut into squares
- Scissors
- Glue
Instructions:
- To make the patchwork, you could apply your cut pieces directly to the chair seat, but I decided to add a step to ensure that the overall piece would be centered well.
- My technique involves cutting the pieces, deciding on a layout, then gluing them to a piece of paper first.
- Once this was accomplished, I could cut the patchwork piece into a pleasing shape, then apply the piece to the chair using basic decoupage technique.

This chair is so sweet Mitzi Curi, thank you for sharing it. I think it would look perfect on a sheltered porch or in the bathroom holding towels and bathing supplies. I would finish off the decoupage with multiple layers of poly varathane just to make sure it was waterproof and that all of the edges were stuck down so they could not peel.

I'm delighted to see my decoupage chair project featured today! I'd like to suggest that small chairs such as these can be hung on a wall to be used as a "shelf". They really look cute holding a vase full of garden flowers or some vintage treasures!
