Look of Vintage Floral Earrings and Gift Tag

Make your own Look of Vintage Floral Earrings and Gift Tag from Tiffany Windsor using Aleene's Tacky Dots! This project could pass for something your grandma would have loved. Best of all, this the materials for this project are inexpensive and easy to acquire.

Materials:

Aleene’s Tacky Dot Singles or Aleene’s Tacky Dot Rolls
Shipping tag
Acrylic paints – colors of your choice
Paint brush (or cosmetic sponge)
Paper towels
Muslin fabric
Rubber stamps
Permanent stamping ink
Silk or paper flower petals (1 large and 1 medium for tag and 4 small for earrings)
Small earring post jewelry findings with earring backs
Ribbon (I used velvet – approximately 5″)
Push pin
Sewing machine and thread (optional) – to add decorative detail to fabric and paper towel

Instructions:

Prepare your shipping tag by randomly applying a light coat of several colors of acrylic paint. Let dry.
Repeat painting process on fabric and paper towel(s). Let dry. Stamp fabric and paper towels with desired design(s). Let dry. If desired, stitch decorative zig zag stitch on fabric and/or paper towel pieces.Select Aleene’s Tacky Dots according to desired size.
Press Tacky Dots on back of fabric.
Adhere fabric to shipping tag. If needed, trim to size with scissors.
Repeat application of Tacky Dots and adhere paper towel piece into place on tag.
Select several flower petals that will nest nicely when stacked.
Apply Tacky Dots between layers, to back of bottom petal and center of top petal.
Adhere flower to top of tag. Tie ribbon into knot and place into Tacky Dot on top petal.
Select two tiny petals and jewelry post for each earring. Adhere two layers of petals together with Tacky Dots.
Press face of jewelry post into Tacky Dot and then press onto back of flower.
Poke holes into tag with push pin. Insert earrings to create a pretty presentation.
