Doodled Easter Egg Card
These adorable Doodled Easter Egg Cards are great for kids to do with their parents. These hand drawn eggs are decorated with buttons and thread. Kids will have a blast creating their own unique eggs to attach to cards and send to friends and family. Kids can also decorate their eggs with stickers, clippings, or even color them in with crayons and markers.
Materials:
- Scrapbook Paper Scraps
- White Card Stock,
- Black Sharpie Marker
- Laura Kelly Buttons
- Embroidery Floss
- Tape Runner
- Hot Glue
- Envelope
- Scissors
Instructions:
-
Doodle some eggs on the card stock with your Sharpie Marker, then cut them out and mount them on scrapbook paper with a tape runner and cut out again.
-
Next, while your Ad-tech gun is heating up, tie your knots onto your buttons by threading different colors of floss through each one and double knotting.
-
When the glue gun is ready, adhere the buttons to the eggs using the hot glue.
-
Cut some grass out of scrapbook paper. Cut and fold your card from another piece in the size that you would like (preferably to fit an envelope). Mine is a 5×7. Adhere the eggs and grass using either your tape runner or the glue gun. If you want to adhere first to a background and then to the card, that would be lovely.
-
Your finished card will be an eggcellent masterpiece.
-
You can doodle a card stock bunny (or use an extra egg) for an envelope closing accessory if you really want to button it up in eggcellence.
