Colorful Clay Pot Easter Basket
Clay pot crafts for your garden should be colorful, pretty and, most of all, fun to make. Create your own Clay Pot Easter Basket from Heidi Borchers and leave it in your garden once the holiday is over. The understated look will add a hint of fun to your outdoor space.
Materials:
- Aleene’s Super Thick Tacky Glue
- Clay pot
- Acrylic paint
- Paint brush
- Toothpick
- Ribbon (length varies depending on size of clay pot)
- Silk and paper flowers
- Excelsior or paper shreds
Instructions:
- Paint clay pot inside and out. Let paint dry.
- Apply smooth layer of glue to bottom of pot with toothpick.
- Find center of ribbon and lay across bottom of clay pot.
- Tie ribbon into bow above clay pot.
- Apply glue to sides of clay pot with toothpick and glue ribbon in place.
- Apply glue along rim of pot and glue flowers in place. Let dry.
- Fill the finished pot with excelsior and eggs.

These would be so cute as party favors for a baby shower, bridal shower or for a Mothers Day brunch. You could put candy, packets of flower seeds or a small booklet with baby tips, or family recipes written inside. I wonder though, does anyone know if the inside of the clay pots would need to be treated with something to put food in them?
