Fancy Flower Pot Trim
This Fancy Flower Pot Trim from I Love to Create is a quick and easy way to dress up your planters. With a ribbon, some pompom trim, and a six-step tutorial, you can turn a plain pot into a precious one. Flower pot decorating ideas don't get much simpler than this, and you don't even have to use the finished pot for flowers. It's a whimsical way to keep your crafting supplies close at hand, or you can fill it with a plant and give it as a gift.
Materials:
- Aleene's® Tacky Line Rolls™
- Flower pot
- Ribbon trim – desired color
- Scissors
- Pompom trim – coordinating color
Instructions:

To measure length of ribbon needed, wrap ribbon around top of clay pot, overlapping 1”. Cut to size. Repeat for middle and bottom of pot.

Repeat measuring and cutting pompom strips.

Lay ribbon strands wrong side up then unroll Adhesive Line Roll and press adhesive strip onto ribbon.

Pull paper backing off adhesive and wrap ribbon in place around pot, with sticky side facing pot. Press around ribbon with fingers to ensure adhesion.

Repeat process to adhere pompom trim to pot along bottom edge of ribbon strands.
- Fill pot with desired flowers or decoration to complete.
