I made x's for the stars on the flags, used a red berry garland instead of ribbon, and added a red and white checked bow at the top.

I love this crochet wreath pattern! There are so many ways you can spruce this up, adding flags or stars, or making the stars with more than one color together. I will have to do some research on the French knots, because I am not familiar with adding these to my projects.

Super cute! It's patriotic country chic to hang on your front door to welcome in strangers. If you don't know how to crochet, don't attempt to start this. It's not a starter/beginner crochet project. If you do know how, you should be able to work up the stars and flags pretty quickly. Use your artistic license to arrange them around the wreath.
