Sunny Daffodils Dish Cloth

Main Color (MC) (01712 Hot Green) 2 balls
Contrast A (00073 Sunshine) 1 ball
Contrast B (00001 White) 1 ball
- Crochet Hook: Size 4 mm (U.S. G or 6) crochet hook or size needed to obtain gauge.
- Green pipe cleaners.
- Hot glue gun
Size: Approx 9½ ins [24 cm] square.
Gauge: 15 sc and 16 rows = 4 ins [10 cm].
Instructions:
DISHCLOTH A
Motif (make 4).
With A, ch 3.
1st rnd: (RS). 6 hdc in 3rd ch from hook. Join with sl st in back loop of first hdc.
2nd rnd: Ch 4. [(Yoh) twice. Draw up a loop. (Yoh and draw through 2 loops on hook) twice] twice in same sp as last sl st. Yoh and draw through all 3 loops on hook – Beg Tr Cluster made. *Ch 5. [(Yoh) twice. Draw up a loop. (Yoh and draw through 2 loops on hook) twice] 3 times in back loop of next hdc. Yoh and draw through all 3 loops on hook – Tr Cluster made. Rep from * 4 times more. Ch 5. Join with sl st to top of Beg Cluster. Break A.
3rd rnd: Join MC with sl st to any ch-5 sp. Ch 2 (does not count as st). 6 hdc in same sp as sl st. *(3 hdc. Ch 2. 3 hdc) in next ch-5 sp. 6 hdc in next ch-5 sp. Ch 2.* 6 hdc in next ch-5 sp. Rep from * to * once more. Join with sl st in first hdc.

3rd row: Ch 1. 1 sc in each of next 26 sc. Sc3tog over next 3 sts. 1 sc in each of last 26 sc. Turn. 53 sc.
4th row: Ch 1. 1 sc in each of next 25 sc. Sc3tog over next 3 sts. 1 sc in each of last 25 sc. Turn. 51 sc.

I love how these dishcloths look. Although I am not an expert crocheter, I don't know if this would be too difficult for a beginner. But I do like the colors that were used. I don't understand why there are pipe cleaners listed in the materials list? At what point are that neede?

These are so cute! I will try making them, but I dont think it matters if the flowers are a bit different. That just adds to the cuteness! I think these would make a nice door prize at bridal shower. Something more modest for those who prefer to keep the party G rated! lol

This pattern is fun to make, but for those beginners who try it, it may be confusing. In the 2nd round it has you make a chain 4 and 2- treble crochet. The petals thereafter are 3-treble crochets so there are 4 loops to draw your YO thru...not 3. Also, on the last row the pattern has you begin in a corner with a beginning Tr Cluster and go on around and when you come to the end you are supposed to sl st in the chain 4... it should tell you to make 2 more Tr Clusters and then sl st in the ch 4.
