Warm Boot Slippers
These fuzzy slippers from Authentic Knitting Board, knitted on a knitting board, are a great way to keep your feet and ankles warm.
Size: (Small) Med-Lg
Stitches: Ribbing and Stockinette
Materials:
- Yarn: Any soft, bulky yarn, 200 yds of main color and 100 yds of accent color for cuffs
- Knitting Board with 16 needles
- Knit hook for lifting the loops
- Large Sewing Needle for seams
- Crochet Hook for finishing
Instructions:
- Slipper Bottom: (Knit 2)
- Cast On (10) 12 Stitches with main color, blue.
- Place Anchor Yarn (same yarn)
- Knit in Rib Stitch for (8) 10 rows
- Change to Accent (red) Color
- Knit in Rib Stitch for (4) 4 rows
- Change to main color by tying on main yarn and cutting the accent with 2-3” tail.
- Knit in Rib Stitch for (10) 16 rows
- Bind Off. Set piece aside.
- Slipper Side (Knit 4)
- Main Color, Cast on (8) stitches
- Place Anchor Yarn (same color)
- Knit in Rib stitch for (8) 10 rows
- Change to Accent Color
- Knit in Rib Stitch for (4) 4 rows
- Change to Main Color
- Knit in Rib for (10) 16 rows.
- Bind Off. Set pieces aside.
- Cuff (Knit 2) Accent Color
- Cast on (6) stitches
- Place Anchor Yarn (any yarn)
- Knit in Stockinette Stitch for (30) 36 rows
- Bind off. Bind off at anchor yarn and remove.
- Finishing:
- Lay (3) pieces with stripe, side by side, matching stripes. Bottom of slipper as center.
- Tie the anchor yarns together so there is one continuous strand.
- Sew the side edges to the bottom matching stripes.
- Sew the back edges together for heel (anchor yarn is toe)
- Sew the top edge from anchor yarn to beginning of stripe.
- Draw up anchor yarn and tie securely for toe.
- Sew short sides of cuff together to form circle.
- Place on top of slipper matching seams at front of stripe.
- Sew onto slipper with top stitch and cuff overlapping slipper.
- Reinforce the joint at front seam for durability.
- Drawstring: (Make 2)
- With Crochet hook, crochet chain of accent yarn or main yarn.
- Total length of each finished=34”
- Weave crochet hook thru the bottom of cuff. Pull the string thru the cuff.
- Tie loop knot at ends to form small balls. Tie in a bow.

On the felted crochet slippers the size 6.5 is given. How do you make them bigger, like a size 8 or 9 or whatever. On the knitted slipper I don't see a size. What do you do then?

Which knitting board is used to make these? I know there are many different ones with different spacings between the needles or pegs...thanks.
