Paper Peace Ornament
Here's an easy ornament-making idea that kids will love. It's perfect for parties and church crafts and great for keeping busy during a cold winter evening. This Paper Piece Ornament will become a treasured keepsake each year when you get out your holiday decorations.
Materials:
- Kreinik 1/16" Ribbon in Peridot
- Kreinik #32 Braid in Plum and Red Orange
- One flat-backed green cabochon or sequin
- Dove-shaped rubber stamp
- Black ink
- 4" x 6" Treasure Tape
- Diamond Beadlets®
- 4" x 4" pink cardstock
- Shallow pan or tray
- Scissors
- Hole punch
Instructions:

Cut the Treasure Tape to be 3" x 3". Remove the white backing and lay centered on your pink cardstock.

Remove the red liner and stamp the dove image directly onto the center of the tape.

Lay the green cabochon for an eye on the dove.

Outline the dove in #32 Braid 271.

Lay the green 1/16" Ribbon around the edge of the tape area, overlapping, folding and pressing into the tape as you go along.

Write "Peace" above the dove using the #32 Braid 273.

When thread decorating is complete, lay the design in a shallow pan or tray and cover remaining sticky areas with Diamond Beadlets®
- Punch a hole in the top and run an extra piece of thread through as the ornament hanger.
