Visual Journal

Express yourself with a Visual Journal from Melissa Langer. This handmade paper craft is a great way to show off your creativity.


 

Instructions:

• Magazines, catalogs, photos
• Scissors
• Gluestick

Materials:

1. Collect some magazines, catalogs, and/or copies of favorite photos, a pair of scissors and a gluestick.
   
   
    
2. Look through the pages and tear out the ones that have images on them that you like. If something catches your eye, rip it out. It can be words, phrases, colors, textures, food, furniture, animals, cars, flowers.... etc. If you like it, it is yours for the taking.
    
3. Now go through all the pages you tore out and cut out the words or objects that you liked on the pages. You can be creative with the shapes you cut or not. Whatever you like!
    
4. Now, without too much thought or planning, start taking your cut outs and arrange them on a page. When you like it pull out your gluestick and glue them down.
    
5. Have fun with the process. Remember, you can never do it wrong and this is all for you about things you like.
