Shells and Bows Flower Basket

The shells and bows flower basket is a free plastic canvas pattern to make a colorful flower basket to spruce up your home. You get to choose which colors to use when creating this needlecraft.

Materials:

• 1 skein each Petal Pink, Paddy Green and White Red Heart 4-ply yarn
• Small amounts of various 4-ply yarn colors (for around the basket and handle)
• 1 sheet Ultra Stiff 12” x 18” 7-mesh plastic canvas
• 1 round 6” plastic canvas
• ½ yd. pink silk ribbon
• Tapestry Needle
• Assorted Silk Flowers
• Graph 1
• Graph 2

SIZE: 9 ½” high (including the handle) x 5 ¼” across

Instructions:

1. Cut one 35 x 110 holes for basket.
    
2. Cut one 7 x 89 holes for handle.
    
3. Stitch basket as shown on graph.
    
4. Stitch all unshaded areas with white continental stitches.
    
5. Overcast top with green yarn.
    
6. Cut 2 rows off round plastic canvas, leave unworked and with green whipstitch to the bottom of the basket.
    
7. Stitch handle as shown on graph and stitch all unshaded areas with white continental stitches, overcast with green and sew onto the basket.
    
8. Sew 1 pink bow to each side of the handle.
    
9. Fill basket with flowers.
