Sewing on a button can be pretty simple but if you have the button hole size then the whole thing is a mess. I find it easier to hand stitch the button hole and I've never learnt how to do it on the machine. I'll be sure to try this approach.

I am one of those who hate to do button holes because I have ruined many things by doing them wrong. I usually finish them by hand and I really do not like them done like that. I have watched this video and I will give it another try and hope it turns out better. I can never get all the holes exact either. It is a real good idea to do like Angel says to use on a piece of practice fabric so you do not ruin your project. Great for someone who has never made button holes or someone wanting to improve the way they do it. Anyone have anything else to add to these ideas?
