Flower Ballet Slippers
Add silk flowers to plain ballet slippers for no-sew embellishment. Coordinate ballet shoes with the rest of your child's costume. This simple embellishment also works for adult ballet flats.
Materials:
- Child’s ballet slippers
- Kreinik Tapestry #12 Braid in 092 Star Pink,
- 007HL Pink Hi Lustre, 023 Lilac
- Treasure Tape dots
- Diamond Beadlets
- Shallow pan or tray
- Three small silk flower petals (no stems)
Instructions:
- Gather your materials. Remove any bows on your purchased slippers.
- Lay three Treasure Tape Dots on the slipper as shown. Remove red liner to expose top sticky part.
- Attach three silk flowers to the sticky dots.
- Lay another Treasure Tape Dot in the center of each flower. Remove red liner to expose sticky tape.
- Take your Tapestry Braid and decorate the center of each flower, pressing the thread onto the tape to secure.
- Place slipper in your tray, and cover remaining sticky areas with Diamond Beadlets. Tape to dislodge loose beads.
