Live and Laugh Tote

Sport this cute live, laugh and learn tote from I Love to Create. Using Tulip fashion dye and glitter you can glam it up with tie dye while you walk about. You can make it in ten steps and keep it forever. Makes for a great gift.

Materials:

Tulip® One-Step Fashion Dye™
- Fuchsia
Tulip® Fashion Glitter™

Tulip® Craft Gloves™
Tulip® Sticky Fabric Stencils™

Tulip® 3D Fashion Paint

Scribbles® Permanent Fabric Markers™

Tulip® Fashion Glitter Bond
Plastic plate (2)
Graphite paper
Iron
Gloves
Plastic surface cover
Pencil
White tote

Instructions:

Prewash and dry tote to remove sizing. Do not use fabric softener. Iron flat.
Cut a piece of cardboard to fit inside tote. Cover work surface with plastic covering or newspaper/scratch paper.
Enlarge pattern to fit tote. Lay graphite paper face down on tote with pattern on top. Trace over pattern with pencil, transferring design onto tote. Remove graphite paper and pattern.
Wearing gloves from dye box, fill bottle of dye with water to line indicated. Replace cap tightly and shake until dye is thoroughly mixed. Pour dye onto plastic plate. With brush paint large heart design with Fuschia dye. Let dry.
Use Black Scribbles® Fabric Markers to outline the words as shown. Let dry then add another layer for deeper color.
Peel Heart Sticky Fabric Stencil™ from backing, removing all inside pieces. Position on bag and press in place. Press a fingernail along inside cut edges to prevent seepage from paint.
Squeeze Tulip® Glitter Bond™ onto a piece of foil. Tap flat end of wedge sponge into glue then pounce an even amount within stencil. Immediately pour Glitter over stencil. Place a scrap of paper over the glitter and press with fingertips. Remove the paper and let dry a few moments.
Remove stencil and repeat around the tote.
Shake off excess onto scratch paper and return to container for reuse.
Add swirl accents on heart with Cotton Candy Tulip 3D Fashion Paint. Let dry.
