Materials:
- Ear wires
- Red felt
- Red sequins
- Hot glue gun and glue
- Scissors
- Card stock or paper scraps
- Jump rings
Instructions:
-
I drew a heart on some card stock scraps and cut it out to use as a template.
-
Then I cut out two hearts from some scraps of red felt I already had.
-
I hot-glued strings of red sequins to each of the hearts, making sure to cover the entire felt piece. I just went in a random zig-zag design, since the pieces were so small.
-
When both hearts were done, I attached the earring backs. First I added a jump ring onto each earring back, and then I hot-glued the jump ring to the back of the heart, covering it up with a smaller piece of felt to keep it secure. I'm sure there's a better way to do this, but it was my very first time making jewelry!
And in case you're curious about what my ear lobe looks like, here's the earring in action:

Do you love to wear things that represent the holidays. Well here is one impressive pair of earrings for Valentines Day that can be made in no time at all. Just grab some red felt, sequins either in jars or by the yard and ear wires and trace out a heart shape to your size and glue on felt, add the felt to earring wire and that is it. You have some cute earrings. You can even find a heart jewelry piece and add the sequins to it. Nice simple to do tutorial.

I really like the BLING effect of this earring! One way to hide the earring backs is to cover the back of the earring with sequins.
