No Sew Fabric Flowers
Follow this fabric flower pattern and create a fun embellishment for a plain t-shirt. Use scraps from an old shirt and save money on fabric. There's no need for a needle and thread when you can create these No Sew Fabric Flowers from Tiffany Windsor.
Materials:
- Aleene’s Fabric Fusion Peel & Stick Sheets
- T-shirt (new or upcycled from your closet)
- T-shirt scraps (you can use a new t-shirt or cut up and upcycle a t-shirt from your closet)
- Scissors
Instructions:
-
Using scrap t-shirt fabric, cut seven (7) black petals for the top layer of each flower. To cut, fold fabric in half lengthwise and cut 1/2 petal shape. Open fabric to to reveal petal shape.
-
Arrange the 7 petals on top of white t-shirt fabric in a flower design.
-
Cut strips of Aleene’s Fabric Fusion Peel & Stick Sheets. Remove paper backing and glue strips on back of each petal. Glue each petal in place on white t-shirt fabric.
-
Roughly cut white t-shirt fabric around black petals to create second layer of flower.
-
Cut strips of Aleene’s Fabric Fusion Peel & Stick Sheets. Remove paper backing and glue strips on back of white flower petals.
-
Remove paper backing and glue second layer of flower to 3rd white layer of fabric. Cut roughly around flower petals.
-
Continue to glue and layer until you have created a 4-layer flower with a 3 layer circle center.
-
Repeat to create remaining flowers in same size or vary sizes if desired. Lay out flowers in desired pattern on t-shirt. Use Aleene’s Fabric Fusion Peel & Stick Sheets to glue flowers onto t-shirt.
-
You are not just limited to a floral design for this technique. Cut and layer other designs for a cool effect! The Aleene’s Fabric Fusion Peel & Stick Sheets are permanent and washable.

These are wo cute. A great easy, quick, and inexpensive way to spruce up a plain shirt. Has anybody tried these and do they fray in the laundry? But that might just make them cuter anyway.
