Keepsake Wedding Guest Box and Tags
Wedding planning can get expensive. Save money on your guest book and create it at home. Keepsake Wedding Guest Box and Tags from Linda Peterson are a great way to save memories. You'll love this fun do-it-yourself wedding craft.
Materials for Tags:
- Manila tag
- White textured paper of choice
- Chalk ink in color of choice
- Edge paper punch in design of choice
- Small sponge dauber or cotton swab
- Aleene’s Tacky Glue
- White acrylic paint
- Ribbon in style/color of choice
- Sponge brush
- Permanent marker
- Stapler
Materials for Box:
- Decorative Box – Can be acrylic, paper mache
- Aleene’s Tacky Glue
- Flowers of choice
- Berries of choice (optional)
- Cellophane shreds
Instructions for Tag:
- Punch desired pattern on edge of manila tag with punch.
- Apply white paint to surface of tag. Make sure to cover the dark brown area at the top.
- Apply ink to edges.
- Draw branch with marker.
- Apply ink to cotton swab or dauber and apply small dots to branch to resemble cherry blossoms.
- Allow to dry.
- Apply glue to back of tag and press onto white paper.
- Trim edges if necessary.
- Staple ribbon to top.
Instructions for Box:
- Apply glue to top edge of box.
- Apply additional glue. Arrange leaves and flower onto edge of box as desired.
- Allow to dry.
- Additional flowers can be glue to front of box if desired.
- When dry, add cellophane shreds. Place signed cards in box and present to Bride and Groom for keepsake.
