Wedding Photo Frame Souvenir
This photo frame makes a very nice wedding souvenir and it’s very easy to prepare. I’ve used this idea for my own wedding to offer pictures to our guests taken on that same day. I decided to do them myself because I thought that they would look much better than the frames that the photographer I hired offered me. And instead of giving my guests the wedding pictures in black frames with the photographer’s logo, I’ve prepared them some very nice frames which were matching the wedding theme!
Materials:
- Paper
- Ruler
- Pencil
- Rubber
- Cutter (Tamiya modeler’s knife),
- Scissors
- Pattern of the window frame (if it’s not square or rectangular)
- Decorations
- Glue
Instructions:
-
Basically you just need to know in advance the size of the photos and then measure, cut and fold pieces of thick paper or bristol board in this way.
-
Part ‘A’ will be the frame cover, you might do it a 1 or 2 mm shorter than ‘B’ and ‘C’, depending on the thickness of the paper. Part ‘C’ can be used to include a personalized message for each guest or to put the weeding date and the names of the bride and groom. Depending on your skills and patience, you can make rectangular, oval or even heart shaped frames. I’ve used a Tamiya modeler’s knife.
-
Part ‘B’ is the window of the frame, you’ll need to place the photo backwards and then fold part ‘A’ onto part ‘B’.
-
The frames can be decorated as you wish. Here’re some suggestions made with photos from a magazine.
