RED HEART® With LoveTM: 1 skein of 1252 Mango.
Susan Bates® Knitting Needles: 4.5 mm [US 7].
Susan Bates® Crochet Hook: 4 mm [US G]
Yarn needle, cable needle, 1¾" (4 cm) toggle.
GAUGE: 25 sts = 4" (10 cm), 26 rows = 4" (10 cm) in Cable Stitch. CHECK YOUR GAUGE. Use any size needles to obtain the gauge.
(4 Medium)RED HEART® With LoveTM, Art. E400, available in solid color 7 oz (198 g), 390 yd (357 m) and multicolor 5 oz (141 g), 230 yd (211 m) skeins.
Special Stitches
M1 = Make 1 (Increase) – Lift strand between needles to left-hand needle and knit strand through the back loop, twisting the stitch to prevent a hole in the fabric.
Cable (uses 4 sts) – Slip next 2 sts onto cable needle and hold in front of work, K2 from the left needle, K2 from the cable needle.
Cozy Measures 6" (15 cm) wide x 10" (25 cm) long
E-READER COZY
Body
Cast on 32 sts.
Row 1: Knit across.
Row 2 (Right side): Knit across.
Row 3 (Increase row): K2, (M1, K5) across: 38 sts.
Row 4: K1, (P1, K4) across to last 2 sts, P1, K1.
Row 5: P1, (K1, P4) across to last 2 sts, K1, P1.
Row 6: K1, (P1, work Cable) across to last 2 sts, P1, K1.
Row 7: P1, (K1, P4) across to last 2 sts, K1, P1.
Repeat Rows 4-7 for pattern until Body measures approximately 9¼" (24 cm) from cast on edge, ending by working a right side row.
Flap
Row 1: Knit across.
Row 2 (Right side): K1, (P1, K4) across to last 2 sts, P1, K1.
Row 3: P1, (K1, P4) across to last 2 sts, K1, P1.
Row 4: K1, (P1, work Cable) across to last 2 sts, P1, K1.
Row 5: P1, (K1, P4) across to last 2 sts, K1, P1.
Rows 6-21: Repeat Rows 2-5, 4 times.
Row 22 (Decrease row): K4, (K2, K2 tog) across to last 2 sts, K2: 30 sts.
Rows 23 and 24: Knit across.
Row 25: Bind off 14 sts, slip st from right needle onto crochet hook, ch 8 (toggle loop made), slip st from crochet hook onto right needle, bind off remaining sts in knit.
FINISHING
Thread a yarn needle with an 18" length of yarn. With right sides together and matching stitches, sew side seams. Fold over Flap for toggle placement, sew toggle to Body.

Good afternoon everyone. I hope you are enjoying a beautiful November day. Some of us have the day off of work. Well I wanted to know if we can do this pattern without the cable stitching when you need to to the cables.
