Antique Tile Anniversary Gift

Here's a first, I'm actually going to make a gift for my wife before and on time for our anniversary. She won't believe it - but the seeing will be the believing. September is the month and the gift is easy, since I will be finally using the digital photos that we took when we were holidays in London and Paris. It is home for us in a romantic way, since that is where we were engaged. Of course thousands more have done the same, so we are not that unique but it was special to us.

I decided to use the Tilano Davinci Kit which makes a 6x8 antiqued tile. I wanted to display several of them in a random manner on our dining room wall. To help set the stage I also included some contemporary frames with photos of Paris to complement the Davinci Tiles.

Materials:

Steps:

1. Follow the Tilano Davinci Instructions that are included in the kit. Note: I chose to add a little embellishment to the photos by placing dates and names to the images using Illustrator. You can use Photoshop, Word or any other photo enhancing program to do this.
   
   
    
2. When ever doing one of our transfers be sure to go clockwise from the center out, when using the spreader, it helps to reduce the possibilities of bubbling.
   
   
    
3. Add water to the surface to see the beginning of your creation,...let the water sit on the surface for about 10 to 15 seconds, then peel. Once you have peeled off the paper backing, apply at least one coat of medium to the tile to protect it for fading.
   
   
   
   As you can see, I arranged the images on our wall and added a few details to the whole arrangement. This is a great way to display your memories and a very personal gift to give.
