Diamond Love Wall Hanging
Remind someone special of your love with this pretty diamond wall hanging, perfect for a kitchen or bathroom. Create the diamond background with scrapbook paper for a quick project.
Materials:
- DecoArt Americana Acrylics DA265 - Tuscan Red
- Americana Writers DAW67 - Black
- Americana Spray Sealers DAS12 - Americana Gloss Spray
- 3/4" flat brush
- Foam plate
- 7 3/8" x 9 3/8" piece of coordinating scrapbook paper (We used a black diamond pattern by Boo Bunny Press.)
- Painted heart shape, Lara's Crafts 20036R
- Two 15" lengths of 3/8" to 1/2" wide ribbon for hanger
- Lo-temp glue gun
- Aleene's Quick Drying Tacky Glue
- 8" x 10" wrapped canvas
Instructions:
1. Use 3/4" flat brush and Tuscan Red to paint sides and 1/2" top border of canvas; let dry.
2. Brush glue evenly on front of canvas, within 1/2" of edge. Center and attach paper pieces over glue and press down. Use credit card, gift card, or burnisher to adhere paper well, removing all wrinkles. Let glue dry.
3. Use lo-temp glue gun to glue heart at center of canvas front.
4. Use Black Americana Acrylic Writer to write "love" on heart and let dry.
5. Spray heart with Americana Gloss Spray Sealer. Let dry.
6. Refer to photo and glue end of each ribbon to upper corners, with ribbon slanted inward. Tie loose ends of ribbon into bow.
