As a kid I dreamed of being able to draw and to draw well. I wish I’d had this book! Walter Foster is the leader as a publisher of art and craft technique books. This book has work from various artists including: Patricia Getha, Cindy Smith, Nolon Stacey, Linda Weil, and Debra Kauffman Yaun. The introduction is well rounded and you will have a grasp of the tools, materials, elements of drawing, basic pencil techniques, shading, textures, and perspective once you’ve read this chapter. You start with baby animals including a bunny, kitten, gosling, foal, bear cub, fawn, lion cub, and more. There are also chapters on dogs and cats, horses and ponies, and wild animals. The book finishes with colored pencil tools and techniques. I highly recommend this book to anyone who dreams of drawing or who wants to perfect their pencil drawing techniques.
