Denim Pocket Advent Calendar
I love to celebrate the countdown to Christmas with a lovely homemade advent calendar. This year I saved the pockets of all the families old jeans and used them to make a unique advent calendar that will last for years to come. This calendar was a lot easier to make than it looks. Denim can be really difficult to sew especially the thick bits like pockets, so I designed this advent calendar project to be NO-SEW. I put a sweet treat and cheesy Christmas joke into each pocket, to bring a smile to my kid's faces.

Celebrate With More Christmas Craft Ideas
If you had fun creating the Denim Pocket Advent Calendar, here are three more Christmas craft ideas for you to try:
1. Fabric Scrap Christmas Tree Ornaments: Collect various fabric scraps in holiday colors and patterns to create adorable Christmas tree ornaments. Cut out triangle shapes in different sizes, stack them on top of each other, and secure with fabric glue or a hot glue gun. Add a fun button or bead as a tree topper and a loop of ribbon for hanging.
2. Paper Quilled Snowflake Gift Tags: Delve into the art of paper quilling by making intricate snowflake gift tags for your presents this year. Use strips of white paper and shape them into delicate snowflake designs. Attach a string for tying onto gifts or simply tape them directly onto a wrapped present for a personal touch.
3. Pom Pom Wreath: Create a festive pom pom wreath to hang on your front door or over your fireplace. All you need is a wire wreath form, plenty of yarn in different Christmas colors, and a pair of scissors. Make a plethora of pom poms by wrapping yarn around your fingers, tying in the middle, and trimming the loops. Attach the pom poms to the wreath form until it's completely covered in fluffy holiday cheer.
We hope these Christmas craft suggestions inspire you to continue making beautiful and unique decorations for the holiday season! Happy crafting!

Clever use of denim pockets! If you are able to sew, denim isn't that hard to navigate with the proper needle size and sewing would make these a bit more sturdy, especially if you double stitch several times at the top edges where these posters would get the most stress from use. I could see this as a nice organizer for a teen's room or even in the car or van, clever idea!

I do have a stitched version on the blog. This is for those that don't have a sewing machine that can cope with denim. Stitching would be better but this has held up really well for the last couple of Christmas's. I think as long as you use the right glue you will be ok.
