Felt Emoji Hoop
"Use an embroidery hoop and felt to create this fun emoji! Hang by your coffee pot or on the refrigerator as a reminder to greet each day with a smile... Add a circle of felt hearts around the edge for extra smile value, plus a variety of embellishments. Fun for all ages, this simple project can be made in minutes from a simple circle of felt, plus a few felt embellishments: You can make precise cuts using a cutting machine, or let the kids use their imagination to express themselves."
Materials List
- Felt: Yellow, red & black
- Embroidery Hoop - 8"
- Tacky glue
NotesIf you have a cutting machine, it's easy to cut lots of small, yellow hearts to adhere to the back of the hoop, but it's not necessary. Your "mood ring" will be just as cute without. The felt embellishments will stick to the felt hoop without glue, so you can change the expressions each day...... Keep Calm and Carry On Smiling. Enjoy!
Celebrate With More Christmas Craft Ideas
If you enjoyed making the Felt Emoji Hoop, there are plenty of other Christmas crafts that you will love getting your hands on! Here are a few suggestions to keep the festive crafting spirit alive:
1. Felt Christmas Ornaments: Create your own personalized Christmas ornaments using felt! Cut out festive shapes such as Christmas trees, snowflakes, or ornaments, and embellish them with sequins, beads, or embroidery. Hang them on your tree or give them as gifts to spread some holiday cheer.
2. Pinecone Reindeer: Turn ordinary pinecones into adorable reindeer decorations. Use brown felt for the reindeer's antlers, googly eyes, and a red pom-pom for the nose. Add a bit of ribbon or twine for hanging, and voila! You have a charming Christmas decoration that will look great on your mantle or tree.
3. Holiday Wreath: Get creative with a DIY holiday wreath made from felt. Cut out felt petals in various colors and shapes, then attach them to a wire wreath frame. Add embellishments like glitter, beads, or buttons for extra sparkle. Hang your festive wreath on your front door or use it as a centerpiece for your holiday table.
With these Christmas craft ideas, you can keep the holiday crafting fun going all season long! Let your creativity shine and enjoy making beautiful decorations for your home or to give as gifts to loved ones. Happy crafting!

My niece loves emojis. This is a quick project that I can get done before her next visit. I think I will make the sunshine face and get her to make one of her own when she visits. On second thought, this would be a great project for us to complete together.

Would love to have the trio of these little felt emoji hoops! These are too cute. I just happen to have been shopping in our local thrift store and picked up a couple of odd embroidery hoops. Little did I know at the time what I would use them for. I purchased two and they happen to be different sizes but no worries. I know this project will work out fine.
