Hedgehog Hanging Ornament
"This year I am planning for Christmas early so that I can have a small tree full of homemade decorations and that means that I can’t just start crocheting on the first of Advent. I have taken my inspiration from nature and who better to start with than this cute little hedgehog bauble – and not too out of season too as you often see a hedgehog scuttling around in the autumnal dusk. Despite the fancy looking spikes, this bauble is easy to make by using lash yarn."
Celebrate With More Christmas Craft Ideas
If you enjoyed making the Hedgehog Hanging Ornament, there are plenty of other Christmas crafts that you may enjoy creating as well! Here are three suggestions for your next homemade decorations:
1. Felt Reindeer Ornaments: Create adorable reindeer ornaments out of felt, complete with antlers and a red nose. You can personalize each one with different expressions and accessories. These ornaments are perfect for adding a festive touch to your Christmas tree or as gift toppers for presents.
2. Pinecone Snowmen: Collect some pinecones from your backyard and turn them into cute snowmen ornaments. Paint the pinecones white, add googly eyes, a carrot nose, and a scarf. These charming snowmen will add a touch of winter whimsy to your holiday decor.
3. Paper Quilled Snowflakes: Try your hand at paper quilling to create intricate snowflake ornaments. Use strips of colorful paper to create beautiful designs that can be hung on your tree or displayed in your home. These delicate snowflakes are sure to impress your guests and add a touch of elegance to your Christmas decor.
Whichever craft you choose, have fun getting creative and making your own unique decorations for the holiday season!
