Salt Dough Houses
"These adorable little clay houses are fun to make and are made from salt dough! Salt dough houses are great for all sorts of holidays, but we are going to show you how to make a Christmas Village Shadowbox with them as well. Have you ever made salt dough? I’d be really surprised if you haven’t. I guarantee that you have all the ingredients in your pantry right now. Super easy and so fun! You can use these little houses in many different ways. Change the colors for different holidays, paint the roofs like toadstools for a little fairy village, or make a Christmas village like we are going to do today."

Celebrate With More Christmas Craft Ideas
If you enjoyed making the Salt Dough Houses for your Christmas Village Shadowbox, we have some more festive and fun Christmas craft ideas for you to try!
1. Salt Dough Ornaments: Use the same salt dough recipe you used for the houses to create beautiful and personalized Christmas ornaments. Roll out the dough, use cookie cutters to make shapes like stars, trees, and snowflakes, then bake and decorate with paint, glitter, and beads. These ornaments make great gifts for family and friends, or you can hang them on your own tree to add a special touch.
2. Pine Cone Christmas Trees: Gather some pine cones from your backyard or a local park and use them to create adorable Christmas tree decorations. Paint the pine cones green and add sequins, beads, or pom poms as ornaments. You can also glue a small star to the top of each tree and place them on a mantle or table for a rustic holiday touch.
3. Paper Snowflakes: Channel your inner child and make paper snowflakes to decorate your home for Christmas. All you need is white paper, scissors, and creativity! Fold the paper into squares, then cut out intricate designs to create unique snowflakes. Hang them in windows, on walls, or from the ceiling for a festive and wintery atmosphere.
We hope these Christmas craft ideas inspire you to get creative and add some handmade charm to your holiday decor! Enjoy crafting and spreading joy this Christmas season.
