Easter Island Bubble Gum Door
The inspiration for this Christmas decor came from the gum chewing Moai from the film Night at the Museum. The Easter Island Bubble Gum Door project uses Krylon Stone spray paint to make the head look just like the real stone. Modify this project to make some fun party decor for a Tropical themed event.

Materials:
- 1 Corregated Cardboard Presentation Board (3 paneled)
- 1 Roll of 1-inch masking tape
- 2 Full newspapers
- 2 Batches of paper mache glue (I used flour+water technique)
- 2 Cans of Krylon® Make It Stone!® Textured Paint in Charcoal Sand
- Varius Christms garland pieces
- Bubblegum
Instructions:
- Cut the two smaller side panels from the presentation board. Roll the center board into a big tube and use masking tape to tape in place. Using two smaller panels, cut shapes to be folded and manipulated onto the big tube to make the Moai statue. (Google Moai or Easter Island for photos). Use masking tape to adhere the cardboard pieces to the tube.
- Affix two layers of paper mache onto the cardboard statue, allowing the first layer to dry overnight before adding the second layer.
- After the paper mache dries completely, completely cover the statue with Krylon Make it Stone paint. Once it dries, you have an awesome Moai statue!
