Shimmery Advent Boxes
Glitter craft ideas can be appropriate for any holiday. This Christmas, make Shimmer Advent Boxes from Tiffany Windsor to get in the spirit. Use plain white favor boxes for this project and use different colors of glitter to make each day extra special.
Materials:
- Aleene’s Tacky Double Stick Sheets
- Tulip Fashion Glitter Assortment – Primary
- Favor boxes (found in wedding section at craft store)
- Die cutting machine and die with numbers
- Paper plates (one for each color of glitter
- Soft brush (for brushing away excess glitter)
Instructions:
-
Cut numbers with die cut machine. Be sure to put the Aleene’s Tacky Double Stick Sheets shiny side down onto the die so that the numbers will face the correct direction after cutting.
-
Leave favor boxes flat. Remove paper backing from die cut numbers and place onto lids of favor boxes.
-
Remove paper from numbers to reveal adhesive. Hold over paper plate and sprinkle with glitter. Gently use fingers to rub glitter to all edges of adhesive. Shake off excess.
-
When changing to a new glitter color, use a clean plate. When you are finished glittering and cleaning, return excess glitter to container.
- Fold boxes along scorelines. Fill with goodies and arrange into desired pattern.
