How to Make a Steampunk Bat Necklace
Bats are ubiquitous during Halloween, but steampunk bats? Well that's something new. Learn how to make a Steampunk Bat Necklace from Candace Jedrowicz using industrial materials like nuts and bolts. Easy steampunk crafts are anything but ordinary yet so much fun to make.
Though this project utilizes a variety of heavy duty materials, the bat itself is made out of craft foam, so it's easy to cut out. Once the piece is cut out of the craft foam, cover it in copper paste and decide where you want the eyes to be. Punch holes in the parts of the craft foam where you want the bolts to go. Use glue to adhere the metal pieces to the foam. Once the piece is dry, thread string through the holes and wear your necklace all season long.
