Artsy Postcard for Kids

Make something crafty with your child today with the Artsy Postcard for Kids project! Christine and her daughter Angelique made this postcard as a way of showing their creative side. They enjoy spending time together making crafts and bonding and this free craft project can help you and your child do the same! We love the rich Plum Krylon spray paint color they used in this paper craft project.

Materials:

1 piece 3 1/2 in. x 7 1/2 in. of cardboard
2 or more (depends size of cutout you use) Greeting cards (new or used)
1 can of Krylon® 8 fl. oz (236 ML) Rich Plum (gloss)
1 Paintbrush
1 Pair of Scissors
1 Bottle of clear gel Tacky Glue/glue stick
1 piece 3 1/2 in. x 7 1/2 in
Clear Contact paper (optional)

Instructions:

Take greeting card(s), and cut out pictures from front (sometimes you have small pictures in the back of cards) or the back of greeting cards with scissors.
Take cardboard and lay it on a flat surface (table) and start to glue the cutouts on the cardboard. (You can arrange the cutouts on the cardboard before you glue them on). Leave no cardboard showing, and let glue dry.
Turn over the cardboard take paintbrush and regular paint (any color you choose) or spray paint.
Paint the entire back and all sides of the cardboard, and let it dry. You can glue a few cutouts if you desire
OPTIONAL--Take the clear contact paper and peel and apply it to the front of your postcard over the top to the bottom.
